Macarons or Macaroons

They are Macarons!

These are Macaroons!

Or so I believe!

Well, I have been trying to make macarons for some time.
Alas, I am yet to perfect the macaron but I am getting close!
Very close!
My first attempt of macarons was a very fussy recipe and resulted in them all running together and resembling pink pancakes.

I wont mention my second attemp using another recipe!
But this attempt no. 3 was close. I used this recipe from Australian Womens Weekly.

They tasted good, not quiet crunchy or silky smooth enough on the outside but delicious!
Back to the drawing board.
